Fancy Flats review

Fancy Flats review

$49.95 |

Anyone who knows me well knows that I am an ambitious heel wearer. That means, while I love heels, covet them, drool over them in expensive stores and try them on and buy them and store them in my closet … I rarely actually wear them. And when I do, a mishap of some sort is bound to befall me. Usually involving stairs, rain-slicked uneven ground, or a sneaky pothole. Kitten is really my speed and even then it’s potentially dicey. Lada Gaga I am not.
That said, I am a short-arse, so there are days and nights and weddingy occasions when nothing but heels will do. I have to commit to the look, the sore feet and the almost certain peril I face tottering around (especially if alcohol is involved). So when Fancy Flats sent a pair of these stylish, fold-up leather ballet flats – which have rubber cushioning to stop you slipping around and a leather insole to absorb foot heat – I was quite excited. Now I can be glamorous til my feet get sick of it and then merrily swap to a gorgeous pair of flats. Better yet, they fold up to be super-compact in your bag AND this season’s Fancy Flats come with a cute fushsia pink wallet that stores them. It also converts to a bag to chuck your heels in (or to use as a shopping bag, just quietly). Win win. There are four colours to choose from – silver, metallic bronze, patent black and white – and thanks to the lovely girls at Fancy Flats we have two pairs to give away. RC’s Verdict: A cute, comfy handbag must-have. After extensive road tests I’ve found them good for a quick nip up to the corner shop, ideal as a driving shoe and perfect as an extra-compact pair to stow in your suitcase when you travel.
