WHO WON the 3 x packs of Two Rivers Green Tea?

Two Rivers Green Tea

Thanks to all of you for sharing your tea love! I loved reading each and every one of your comments (being a bit of a tea fan myself). Without further ado, the three winners from our grand prize draw are: Scot, Vija and Billie! Congrats guys, I’ll be in touch to organise your prize.

There a few things better than a lovely cuppa. And whether it’s an early morning mug of Earl Grey as I watch the world wake up – or a late-night sip of fragrant Sencha from a cup perfectly small enough to warm my hands, tea is always my go-to drink.

Which is why I’m excited that my first competition of the year pays tribute to the humble tea leaf. Thanks to the lovely people at Two Rivers Green Tea, I’m giving away 3 packs of their delicious green tea, which is grown on a family farm in Victoria’s Acheron Valley. I’ve been sampling the four beautiful brews Two Rivers produce and it’s hard to pick a favourite: there’s the slightly nutty, toasty flavours of the refreshing Houjicha, the intense but sweet Sincha and the popular, full-bodied Sencha. I think I’m edging towards the mild but tasty Genmaicha, with its roasted brown rice kernels and matcha powder. Mmmm, it’s so easy being green!

This competition is now closed, but… my Valentine’s Day competition just opened, so why not mosey on over there and enter? You could win an amazing romance package at a Hilton hotel!

I have a delicate and feminine teapot, but it is housed in an insulated basket with matching lid. It’s always a surprise to bring it out, and people often joke that they thought I was bringing out a cobra in the basket. It’s always a delight and surprise for them to see the lovely teapot emerge.

    I used to be a coffee lover – a few a day,
    But those cravings went away.
When my new man introduced me to Jasmine Green Tea,
    I’m relaxed, cleansed and happy!

I love the joy and health benefits of drinking tea. Oolong and Tieguanyin (Iron Goddess) are a few of my family favourites. I enjoy the fresh aroma and taste of perfect tea. It gives me a tea-rrific sense of peace and tranquility. Mum and I love to have a cup of tea with high tea after our Sunday gardening. Life is a bliss!

I love tea as it reminds me of my childhood. Being raised by my grandparents, I remember my Gran would make me a cup of tea everyday after school.

I’m a dinky-di coffee drinker everyday. The only time I partake in tea drinking is when my gorgeous 16 year old daughter begs me for a tea and a chat together.

My first cuppa is made when the paper’s delivered
… then my dog runs out to get the paper whilst I concentrate on making the tea!

There is nothing like a nice pot of tea.. currently working my way through a selection of 5 or 6 different selections of loose leaf tea that were a present for xmas. Being loose leaf has also been a perfect excuse to use a teapot and have more than the standard one cuppa you get with teabags.

My favourite teapot passed down from my grandmother always makes the tea taste better…The teapot has ‘Tea for Two’ written on it with the cups saying ‘You’ on one and ‘Me’ on the other..”It’s tea for two and two for tea, there’s tea for You and tea for Me”…as the song goes. Love it! Even more special now she has passed.

My Mum has this gorgeous glass teapot, I love it so much. It’s especially beautiful when she puts these beautiful tea buds inside, as they hit the water they begin to unfurl into these incredible flowers – and they taste amazing too. It’s so festive!

Tea can do amazing things! I swear by stinging nettle and raspberry leaf teas which I believe helped me both conceive and make my labours much quicker and easier. Who would have thought tea could do that!! 🙂

My father-in-law – with limited eyesight – likes his tea VERY weak. My husband once made him a cup of hot water with milk and sugar which he pronounced a very good cuppa.

I am NOT descended from the same tea-drinking genes!

  47. Jacky B 5 years ago

Having a tea in a delicate bone china cup and saucer always makes it special and makes me drink it a little slower and savour the flavour. Plus it reminds me of my late mum who would only drink tea out of bone china.

  48. Gayle Richardson 5 years ago

I am slowly getting more adventurous with my tea – from green to green with citrus!

  49. Belinda 5 years ago

I prefer to have my tea in a mug instead of a teacup so I can have more at once, but I’ve always wanted to use teacups because they’re so dainty. Confused?

I have a ridiculous supply of tea in my house, with my aussie afternoon tea to get me up and moving, my lady grey which is all i drink after 6pm, my english breakfast and my earl grey and all the rest of them. 14 different varieties just of twinings in my house.
Now this tea is one I haven’t heard of before and I would love to give it a go. There is always room in my tea-cupboard for more 😛

I really enjoy my green tea, helps me especially during ‘that’ time of the month when it helps settle my stomach.

  52. Helena 5 years ago

Tea is my afternoon drink for relaxation and winding down for the day. I find it comforting spending a bit of extra time using leaves and a strainer rather than opting for the convenience of the tea bags. Personally this method yields a stronger aroma and flavour which I savour everyday.

I’ve always been a black tea drinker and recently discovered that I like flavoured black tea. Only problem is there are so many awesome flavours to try, I’m going to need a bigger kitchen soon just to fit all of my tea canisters in 🙂

I love tea and wooden tables. It reminds me of my childhood, sitting at the old wooden kitchen table with my mum and six sisters. “Put the kettle on” was the signal to come and sit and share. And that’s exactly what we all did when mum passed away. We drank so much tea that day!
